Collecting and preserving the rich history of
4-H in Montana

Thanks for your interest in Montana 4-H!

Montana 4-H History is a research-based site which seeks to collect stories, historical information, and the shared experience of those who participated or worked in the Montana 4-H program.

Many of us grew up in 4-H. We have fond memories of our personal experiences—what we learned, what we gained, and how we put our hands to larger service. We are proud parents who encouraged our own kids to pursue their dreams and interests through 4-H. But those stories and memories are easily lost through the march of time, or simply because the stories were never shared.

With your participation, we can preserve those stories. Together, we can chronicle the rich history of 4-H and the impact it has made across Big Sky Country. Ultimately, we can share a more in-depth narrative with those who are new to, or unfamiliar with 4-H, and with future generations who will add to the 4-H story.

Where do we start?
